Mario’s newest collection takes you on a fascinating journey into the rarely seen underground cellars of LOUIS XIII, where century-old barrels rest in near darkness to create the world’s most exquisite cognac. 

Not since the famed French photographer Robert Doisneau documented the cellars in the 1960’s, has a fine art photographer been permitted into the underground cellars of LOUIS XIII. By personal invitation, Mario Basner had the honor to create these extraordinary images and illuminate the legacy of LOUIS XIII cognac.

Rémy Martin’s flagship cognac LOUIS XIII is a legend in the world of spirits. It takes several generations of cellar masters to create the final blend, which has not changed since its conception in 1874. LOUIS XIII cognac is aged up to 100 years and it is widely considered to be the greatest, most complex expression of cognac available today.
